Timber Framing - A Japanese Structure

A six-day intensive building a traditional Japanese timberframed structure 

• Design and detail of structure

• Layout and cutting  of traditional Japanese joinery

• Setup and use of kanna (hand plane) and nomi(chisel)

• Structure assembly

No prerequisites required, but experience a plus - Intermediate

Tools needed:

• Hand plane and chisels (Japanese not required)

• Tape measure
